Jetair VM

A standard Jetair machine uses the suction feed method during the blasting process. Compressed air is used to create a ‘venturi’ effect, where blast air is sucked up through the hopper of the cabinet to the blast gun and then propelled onto the surface of the component. The media then falls back to the hopper and is recycled.

Designed around the application

A standard Jetair machine uses the suction feed method during the blasting process. Process capability

The Jetair VM features halogen lighting and a high performance cartridge dust collection/filtration system to ensure maximum internal visibility.

Configuration flexibility

Alternatively, Jetair machines can use a pressure operated blast system which increases the speed of blasting by up to four times and increases efficiency. These pressure pots are available in large and small sizes and are an optional extra in the Jetair range.

How the process comes together

STAGE 1

Load and fixture

Present the component to the blast stream manually, in a tumbler or through an automated fixture.

STAGE 2

Deliver abrasive

Suction, pressure-fed or airless equipment accelerates selected dry media toward the surface.

STAGE 3

Control exposure

Nozzle motion, part rotation, cycle time and media are matched to the required finish.

STAGE 4

Recover media

Reusable abrasive is separated from dust and debris before the next cycle.
