Designed around the application

This machine blasts, washes and prepares alloy wheels in one quick and simple step ready for painting and lacquering. This process uses water mixed with abrasive to surface treat the alloy and provide an ideal surface for paint or lacquer to adhere to – in just 3 minutes!

Process capability

Designed exclusively for alloy wheel preparationThe Aqua Wheelblaster uses Vixen’s wet blasting technology to finish and provide a key surface for alloy wheels.

Production fit

This machine blasts, washes and prepares alloy wheels in one quick and simple step ready for painting and lacquering. This process uses water mixed with abrasive to surface treat the alloy and provide an ideal surface for paint or lacquer to adhere to – in just 3 minutes!

Configuration flexibility

The use of water ensures no media is impregnated onto the alloy wheel. The water also provides a washing action and does not strip the wheel back to bare metal. The wetblasting process used in the Aqua Wheelblaster does not need a specific room for siting, eliminates the risk of dust and combines all of the preparation process in one cabinet – ideal for the workplace.

How the process comes together

STAGE 1

Load the part

Position components for safe access to the surfaces that require cleaning or finishing.

STAGE 2

Circulate the slurry

Water and selected media are mixed and delivered through the wet-blast nozzle.

STAGE 3

Create the finish

Compressed air accelerates the slurry for controlled cleaning by flow rather than hard impact.

STAGE 4

Recover and rinse

Slurry returns to the sump for recirculation; rinsing and media clarification are configured as required.
