The PROCECO rail-fed / crane-fed wheelset washer effectively eliminates grease and road dirt from locomotive and car wheelsets. These washers are designed to be pit-mounted and aligned with workshop floor-level tracks for a seamless pass-through operation, capable of processing up to four wheelsets per hour.
This automatic, floor-level, rail-fed roll-through cleaning system can be integrated into your MRO wheelset handling setup. The typical cleaning sequence includes: operators positioning and aligning wheelsets in front of the machine entrance; the door opening; an autoloader pulling one wheelset into the cleaning chamber; the wheelset rotating while undergoing a multi-stage cleaning process; and finally, the autoloader ejecting the cleaned wheelset onto the outgoing track.
Production rate: up to 4 locomotive wheelsets per hour.
