The Tumbler range can be operated with a wide range of blast media, including plastics, vegetable matter, glass bead and alumina. Chilled iron grit and steel shot may also be used in pressure-fed systems.
Process capability
A major benefit of using the Jetair Tumbler is that it offers a more cost-effective alternative to using a hand blast cabinet. Components are loaded into the drum where they are slowly tumbled under a stream of media which is delivered by adjustable blast guns.

Configuration flexibility
At the end of each timed cycle, the drum continues to rotate to remove media from the components and the drum. At the same time, air wash guns are brought into operation to help remove any last traces of dust or media. Parts may be removed either manually from the drum or via a discharge chute, which is available as an optional extra.
How the process comes together
Load and fixture
Present the component to the blast stream manually, in a tumbler or through an automated fixture.
Deliver abrasive
Suction, pressure-fed or airless equipment accelerates selected dry media toward the surface.
Control exposure
Nozzle motion, part rotation, cycle time and media are matched to the required finish.
Recover media
Reusable abrasive is separated from dust and debris before the next cycle.
Standard configuration
Published equipment provides a starting point; final dimensions, utilities, media and process options should be confirmed for the selected build.
