LOCOMOTIVE ENGINE WASHER
Washer designed to clean locomotive engines
PROCECO’s LEW Locomotive Engine Washers are designed to wash and rinse diesel engine blocks mounted on a rotary fixture, as well as oil pans placed directly on the cabinet platform. These systems can handle loads of up to 60,000 lbs.
PROCECO’s LEW Locomotive Engine Washers utilize a recirculating wash solution followed by a hot freshwater rinse, ensuring the complete removal of dirt and chemical residues from the workpieces.
Operators position the engine block onto a rotating fixture and then use an overhead crane to load the block/fixture assembly into the process cabinet. A reciprocating spray nozzle frame traverses the entire length of the cabinet, spraying from all angles while the block/fixture rotates. After cleaning all exterior and interior surfaces of the block, the programmed process initiates a specialized flushing cycle to clean the oil galleries inside the block.
For oil pans, crankshafts, racks of power assemblies, and baskets of miscellaneous steel parts, operators place them directly onto the loading platform inside the cabinet, where the reciprocating nozzle frame effectively removes all dirt and residues.
Production rate: 1 engine block per hour or 1 load per hour.
