Aircraft Wheel Cleaning System
The PROCECO TYPHOON®-AWW aircraft wheel cleaning system is designed to clean up to 30 aircraft wheel hubs of any size during an 8-hour shift (1 wheel every 16 minutes).
This advanced washer complies with environmental regulations and employs the latest solvent-free, aqueous cleaning technology to remove grease, rubber residues, dirt, and brake dust from wheel hubs before inspection or overhaul.
The standard model uses a recirculating hot alkaline solution sprayed at high pressure to remove oil, grease, and dirt. Simultaneously, a rotating brush scrubs the exterior surface to eliminate rubber buildup on the bead seat area. The wheel is then rinsed with fresh water and dried with air blow-off.
Based on our experience, mechanical scrubbing is the most effective method for removing embedded rubber residues without using solvents. Achieving similar results with only water pressure would require exceeding 300 psi, leading to more maintenance and shorter component lifespans.
