RAIL-FED BOGIE WASHER
Rail-fed locomotive bogies/trucks washing plant
Rail-Fed Bogie Washing Plants are aqueous degreasing systems specifically designed to automatically wash and rinse transit car and locomotive bogies/trucks (without traction motors) as they move on their own wheels, even in various states of disassembly.
These systems feature PROCECO’s exclusive spray manifold design, which surrounds the bogie on all four sides and moves back and forth along the entire length to ensure thorough cleaning of all surfaces. Depending on the contamination level, the system can clean up to eight bogies per eight-hour shift. With an optional parts trolley, PROCECO Bogie Washers can also clean truck/bogie frames without wheels, as well as various other components. Additional options are available for enhanced performance and increased productivity.
Cleaning Process: PROCECO Bogie Washers use reciprocating spray manifolds that travel the length of the process cabinet, spraying the stationary workpiece from all angles with hot, high-pressure, high-volume water-based cleaning solution containing a low concentration of heavy-duty alkaline detergent. Optional water rinses, with or without rust inhibitors, and compressed air blow-off stages are also available.
Production Rate: 1 bogie per hour or 1 trolley with parts per hour.
These automatic cleaning systems support non-destructive inspection, reconditioning, and MRO in compliance with AAR (Association of American Railroads) standards and guidelines.
